Steve was heard on The Chapel of the Air and the daily radio feature National Concert of Prayer. He currently serves with Willow Creek Association as Executive Vice President.
A popular speaker here in North America, Steve also has an interest in international ministry, having led short-term mission trips, conferences and training events in more than 40 countries. Richard and Leona Bergstrom founded and direct Re-Ignite, a ministry devoted to helping leading-edge Boomers find purpose and passion in this season of their lives. They recently co-authored and released the book, Third Calling: What are you doing the rest of your life?
Richard has been in ministry for 45 years as a pastor, executive pastor, church consultant and denominational executive. He is president of ChurchHealth, a non-profit organization devoted to personal renewal, pastoral revitalization and community transformation. Re-Ignite is a division of ChurchHealth.
Leona’s career has focused on developing and managing social and health care services for midlife and older adults and their families. She writes, speaks and facilitates discussions about the issues facing Boomers today.
Richard and Leona live in Seattle, Washington. They have six grandchildren, all under the age of 10.
Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, Ratio Christi
Michael Bossman is Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Ratio Christi. Completing his undergraduate at Barry University, Michael had an extensive electrical engineering career in the semiconductor field. Following the Lord’s prompting to attend Southern Evangelical Seminary, Michael completed his Master’s in 2014 and joined Ratio Christi, equipping students to defend the faith using respectful debate with skeptical professors, helping parents engage with children, and teaching grandparents to leave a legacy of faith to their grandchildren.
Michael now focuses his work on: 1) the strategic application of winsome apologetics, an essential and powerful tool used in Conversational Evangelism, 2) taking college ministry to a new level of inter-ministry cooperation on the campus, 3) engaging the local church in collaborative synergy to defend Christianity from external (and internal) attack.
Timothy R. Botts is a master calligrapher who studied graphic design and calligraphy at Carnegie-Mellon University. After graduation, he spent three years in Japan teaching conversational English; while there he was exposed to the rich brush writing tradition of the east. He then worked at Tyndale House Publishers designing books and Bibles, retiring as senior art director in 2012.
Tim helped start Masterpiece Project, an outreach to high school students in the arts, and currently serves as their artistic director. He also teaches calligraphy part time at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Tim’s work is part of the permanent collection of the Newberry Library in Chicago. Ten books of his work have been published, including Doorposts, Messiah, The Botts Illustrated Bible, and Bound for Glory.
Dan S. Britton graduated summa cum laude from the Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics program at Biola University in 2015 and is currently taking additional coursework at Biola and Southern Evangelical Seminary in anticipation of the pursuit of a doctorate in apologetics.
Dan is the Pastor of Equipping and Apologetics at Hill Country Fellowship, and the Director of Ratio Christi College Prep – Texas Hill Country Chapter, an apologetics organization for area high school students. He is also an itinerant Christian apologist and teacher, teaching and mentoring churches, students and adults nationwide.

Ken Canfield is a graduate of Friends University, University of British Columbia, Regent College and Kansas State University. He is a nationally-known speaker, leader and researcher, and author of several books and articles, both popular and scientific. He is the author of the award-winning 7 Secrets of Effective Fathers, The Heart of a Father, The Adventures of Fatherhood Series, and They Call Me Dad.
He has founded and continues to serve several organizations dedicated to improving family well-being, most notably the National Center for Fathering. He currently serves on the Board of the Legacy Coalition.

Ministry has been part of John and Jacque Coulombe’s lives as they’ve served together in Southern California for 50 years. John is a graduate of Judson Baptist College, BIOLA University and Talbot School of Theology. Hal Habecker is a graduate of Taylor University, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Denver Seminary. He has served the past 21 years as the Senior Pastor at Dallas Bible Church, 14 years in the Christian Medical & Dental Association and, in his very first ministry following Dallas Seminary; he served for five years on the adult ministry staff of First Baptist Church, Dallas.
Hal is the founder and director of Finishing Well Ministries, which is focused upon developing strategic partnerships with churches, parachurch ministries, and institutions for the purpose of mobilizing senior adults for the kingdom of God and the local church. Founder and Executive Director, Christian Grandparenting Network
A graduate of Baylor University and Denver Seminary, Cavin Harper served as an associate pastor for 17 years before founding ElderQuest Ministries in 1997 at Christ Haven Lodge, which later became known as the Christian Grandparenting Network. He now serves as their Executive Director, writes a weekly blog and has authored the signature book for Christian Grandparenting Network entitled Courageous Grandparenting: Unshakable Faith in a Broken World.
He and his wife, Diane, created GrandCamps® for grandparents and grandchildren, which is being reproduced and operated by Christian camps and churches using materials and program concepts produced by the Christian Grandparenting Network. He is currently working on a DIY GrandCamp manual for grandparents who want to do their own ‘GrandCamp’, as well as a new book series for grandparents called Grandparents in Action.

Mary Rice Hopkins

Marie Kuck is a Co-Founder of Nathaniel’s Hope, a ministry dedicated to celebrating and assisting children with special needs (VIP kids) and their families. Julie Loos is the Director of Prayer and Community Outreach and Involvement for Ratio Christi. She had an award winning career as an advertising copywriter and brings those skills to the Ratio Christi team where she also helps with communications and public relations.
Julie has her Certificate in Apologetics from Biola University and her Cross Examined Instructor’s Academy certificate as well. She has 16 years of leadership in the Moms in Prayer International Ministry where she currently serves as their national College Groups Facilitator equipping moms to pray strategically for the campus. As an ambassador to women in particular and the church at large, she desires to fuel revival on the college campus and stem the tide of the youth exodus from the church by getting the church involved in prayer and apologetics.

Abel Lopez has a passion for the teens of this nation and Latin America. Joanne has served in the Children’s Ministry at New Hope Church in Minneapolis for 24 years and has recently transitioned to a new position, heading up the Legacy Grandparenting Ministry at New Hope. During the winter months, Joanne loves to downhill ski with her family.
Creator & Designer, Puppets with a Heart
Darcie Maze studied Child Evangelism at Christ for Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, and Life Bible College. She is known nationally for her teacher-training workshops and seminars, crossing many denominational lines and for designing her own distinctive line of puppets with a removable heart. They are found in over 150 countries. One of her puppets is currently seen on the Cartoon Network.
Since 2003, Darcie has teamed with Mary Rice Hopkins; their newest release, Mary Rice Hopkins & Puppets with a Heart, is a high-definition DVD with two hours of puppet fun, covering: choices and character, peer pressure, being yourself, brokenness, serving with our talents and values. TBN is airing segments from the DVD on their programming.
Founder, National Center for Biblical Parenting
Ed Miller graduated from the University of Delaware and served as a campus staff member with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship with a focus upon leadership development, disciple-making, evangelism and ministry training throughout New Jersey. He also served as the Area Director for InterVarsity in Central/South New Jersey for 14 years before becoming the Assistant Regional Director for the New York/New Jersey Region. In the regional leadership role, Ed focused on training program development, alumni ministry and fundraising.
Ed also studied the Bible and Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, Alliance Theological Seminary, and Princeton Theological Seminary. Other experiences include mission trips to Central America and urban ministry programs in New Jersey.
Ed leads the National Center for Biblical Parenting development of strategic partners, being responsible for finding financial supporters who are eager to support family ministry. He is a contributing author to two Family Ministry books and teaches parenting seminars.
Paul and Diana Miller
Authors, A Guide to Great Grandparenting
Paul Miller holds two degrees from Rice University and a PhD from The University of Texas at Austin. Diana Miler has a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Science in Speech Pathology from the University of Texas at Austin. They had long careers in the field of education as a university business professor and a preschool teacher.
Paul and Diana are authors of the book, A Guide to Great Grandparenting, where they write about connecting grandparents, parents and grandchildren – the “Trinity” in the family – with a focus how grandparents are coaches for their adult children, helping them become better parents, the parents are the primary instructors for the grandchildren, and the grandparents are models of appropriate and loving behavior for their grandchildren.
They live in Colorado Springs where they volunteer as GrandCamp Coaches and Consultants for the Christian Grandparenting Network.
President of the Center for Parent/Youth Understanding
Walt Mueller is a graduate of Geneva College and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Walt earned his doctorate at Gordon-Conwell in “Ministry to Postmodern Generations.”
He is the founder and President of the Center for Parent/Youth Understanding and has been working with young people and families for over 35 years. As a result of his work with CPYU, Walt became an internationally-recognized speaker and author on contemporary youth culture.
Walt has written extensively on youth culture and family issues and is the author of dozens of book The Space Between: A Parent’s Guide to Teenage Development (Zondervan, 2009); Opie Doesn’t Live Here Anymore: Where Faith, Family, and Culture Collide (Standard Publishing, August 2007); Youth Culture 101 (Zondervan, June 2007; Engaging The Soul of Youth Culture: Bridging Teen Worldviews To Christian Truth (InterVarsity Press, February 2006); and the critically acclaimed Gold Medallion Award winner, Understanding Today’s Youth Culture (Tyndale House, 1994).
Pastor to Children and Families, Grace Church
Josh Mulvihill has a PhD from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Family Ministry with a focus on the biblical role of grandparents. He serves as the Pastor to Children and Families at Grace Church of Eden Prairie in Minnesota. Before coming to Grace Church, Josh served for fifteen years as a pastor to youth, young marrieds, and families in small and medium sized churches. Josh is the Director of Resources with the Legacy Coalition, a ministry which equips grandparents to pass faith on to future generations, as well as being a board member for Renewanation, a ministry whose focus is to provide every child in America with a Biblical Worldview.
Josh is the author of Preparing Children for Marriage and co-authored the book, If He Had Not Come. He is the founder of Roots Kids Worship and helps create children’s worship music.
SageWorks Pastor, Fellowship Bible Church, Little Rock, AR
Bill Parkinson served on staff of Campus Crusade for Christ at the University of Arkansas for four years, before receiving a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Upon graduating, he became a founding pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, Arkansas where he served as a Teaching Pastor for 30 years and presently serves as the SageWorks Pastor for the 55+ congregation. His most recent work is entitled Muscular Faith.
Ben Patterson earned his bachelor’s degree from La Verne University in 1966 and his master’s of divinity from The American Baptist Seminary of the West in 1972. He has served at churches in New Jersey, Irvine, La Jolla and Pomona, California and as Dean of the Chapel at Hope College.

She founded the Grandparents@Prayer intercessory prayer groups for grandparents, Grandparents’ Day of Prayer and the Million Praying Grandparents Movement. Lillian has been active in church ministry for over fifty years. She is involved in leadership in the women’s Bible study, the fifty-five plus group in her church, and led an outreach ministry for young mothers, a mentoring ministry for women, and various other church ministries. She has participated in short term missions in Ukraine and volunteered with several Christian ministries
She has nine grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.

Rob Rienow is a pastor and church planter at Gospel Fellowship Church. He attended Wheaton College, Wheaton College Graduate School, Trinity International Divinity School, and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
In 2004 he realized he was discipling other people’s children, but not his own. Through this time of repentance, God turned his heart to the ministry of his children and his wife. God then led Rob and his wife Amy to launch Visionary Family Ministries, a ministry designed to inspire parents and grandparents to disciple their children, to help couples create mission driven-marriages, and to equip churches to build Bible-driven ministries. He is the author of the books “God’s Grand Vision for the Home”, “When They Turn Away: Drawing Your Adult Child Back to Christ”, and his latest book for church leaders, “Limited Church: Unlimited Kingdom – Uniting Church and Family in the Great Commission.”
Marci Rice has been married to Wayne for 51 years and they now have 5 grandchildren, all of whom live in distant places. Along with her career as a homemaker for many years, Marci has also served as an administrative assistant for several churches and ministries. She and Wayne have together been featured speakers at several marriage and family conferences.
Director of Conferencing, Legacy Coalition
Wayne Rice spent years working with Youth for Christ and as a youth minister. In 1968, he co-founded Youth Specialties and in 1988, he started a ministry to parents called, Understanding Your Teenager (now part of HomeWord). He taught youth ministry at Bethel Theological Seminary and San Diego Christian College and from 2009 to 2014, he served as Pastor to Generations at College Avenue Baptist Church in San Diego. He is currently serving the Legacy Coalition as Director of Conferencing.
Wayne has authored dozens of books on youth ministry and parenting including Junior High Ministry, Reinventing Youth Ministry [Again], Generation to Generation, and Engaging Parents as Allies in Youth Ministry. He received the Gold Medallion award from the Evangelical Press Association for his book, Up Close and Personal: Building Community in Youth Groups. Wayne is also a musician who has performed with several award-winning country and bluegrass bands.

Richard Ross earned his bachelor's degree at Hardin-Simmons University, a master of religious education and a Ph.D. in youth ministry from Southwestern Seminary. Richard served as a youth ministry consultant for LifeWay Christian Resources and as part of the faculty of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
Richard is known for serving as a key architect of the True Love Waits campaign. He has written 24 books including, Student Ministry and the Supremacy of Christ, contributed to teen-oriented tape series and software applications and co-chaired YouthLink 2000; the largest youth event in Southern Baptist history.
For 48 years the sole focus of his life and ministry has been teenagers and the families of teenagers. He wants to join Christ in thoroughly equipping the next generation of student ministers for their callings.

Sherry Schumann serves as a senior writer for Legacy Coalition and national prayer co-coordinator for Christian Grandparenting Network. She is a masterful story-teller, who delights her audience with bits and pieces of her own redemption story before delivering a powerful message about the testimony living inside every believer. Her message is showered in grace.
Having traveled along a journey of healing and redemption, Sherry’s greatest joy is the LORD. She leads women’s Bible studies, speaks at Christian retreats, and co-chairs a community James 1:27 Team (support group for those who care for elderly parents). Her wildlife photography from the South Carolina Lowcountry is featured at women’s prayer and healing services.
Sherry’s first novel, The Christmas Bracelet, was published by WestBow Press. She also published an Easter drama, They Knew No Easter, by Lillenas.

Pat is the author of numerous books and articles on Christian education and special needs ministry. Sharing from her 25 years as an associate pastor, educator and consultant, her books include, Special Needs Ministry for Children, Special Needs Smart Pages, Life in the Balance, and Beyond Suffering: A Christian View on Disability Ministry. She served as managing editor and contributor for the Beyond Suffering Bible (Tyndale, 2016).

Dave and Connie Wills
Dave and Connie Wills have been dating for 26 years, 22 of them married. They are a blended family with 7 adult children and 16 grandchildren between the ages of 1 to 22. Nine of their grandchildren live in Washington state, 3 live in Missouri, 2 live in Arizona and 2 live with them in Texas. Dave and Connie have been parenting 2 of their grandchildren full-time for the past 9 years and consider it their greatest assignment, which can be disruptive and difficult at times, but also fully of joy and great hope.
